Mansfield Town Community Trust supports Together Against Suicide initiative

Mansfield Town Community Trust was proud to support the Premier League’s Together Against Suicide initiative during Mansfield Town’s match against Huddersfield Town at the One Call Stadium.
As part of the matchday activity, we welcomed members of Enlighten the Shadows to the stadium to help raise awareness of suicide prevention, encourage conversations around mental health and remind people that support is available.
Using football to bring people together
Together Against Suicide aims to use the power and reach of football to reduce stigma, encourage people to talk and help fans access support when they need it.
At Mansfield Town Community Trust, we understand the positive impact football can have on mental health. Through our long-standing Come for a Kick About? sessions, delivered alongside Enlighten the Shadows, men are given the opportunity to come together in a safe, relaxed and non-judgemental environment.
The sessions use football as a starting point for conversation, helping participants build friendships, support one another and recognise that it is okay not to be okay. For more information on this session, please click here: https://www.mansfieldtownct.net/health-wellbeing
Our matchday activation was another opportunity to continue that important message, both inside the stadium and across the wider football community.
