Mansfield Town Community Trust were proud to be the official charity partner for Mansfield Town’s FA Cup fixture against Arsenal this weekend, in what proved to be a truly special occasion at the One Call Stadium.
With a sold-out crowd creating an incredible atmosphere, the match was a fantastic showcase of football and community spirit. Although the game ended in a 2–1 defeat for the Stags, it was still a memorable day for everyone connected to the club and the Trust.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters, over £1,500 was raised for Mansfield Town Community Trust across the day. Donations were collected through bucket collections around the stadium, as well as through engagement with supporters and guests in hospitality areas, where Trust representatives also had the opportunity to speak about the work being delivered across the community.
One of the highlights of the day was celebrating our two very lucky mascot winners, who enjoyed an unforgettable experience as part of the matchday festivities. From meeting both sets of players to walking out on such a big occasion, it’s a memory that will last a lifetime.
Adding to the special atmosphere were the Mansfield Town Under-8s, who proudly took part as the flag bearers ahead of kick-off. Seeing young members of the community involved in such a major fixture perfectly reflected what the Trust is all about – inspiring the next generation and strengthening the connection between the club and the community.
The Trust would like to say a huge thank you to every supporter who donated, bought raffle tickets, or simply stopped to speak with our staff and volunteers throughout the day. Your support helps us continue delivering vital programmes that benefit people across Mansfield and the surrounding areas.
Despite the result on the pitch, it was a fantastic day for the community, and we are incredibly grateful for the support shown.
