Celebrating Tilly this World Mental Health Day

For World Mental Health Day, Mansfield Town Community Trust are delighted to select Tilly as a Community Mascot for Mansfield Town’s fixture on the 10th October, thanks to our partners Free Kicks Foundation.
Tilly’s nomination, shared by her family, highlighted the incredible difference football has made to her life over the past three years. When she first started playing, Tilly struggled with anxiety and found new situations overwhelming. Through football, she has gradually developed her confidence, strengthened her social skills and found a sense of belonging within her team.
Now a confident and enthusiastic young player, Tilly gives her all both on and off the pitch. Her kindness and caring nature make her a valued teammate, and she is always looking for ways to make others smile. This is reflected in the respect she has earned from those around her, having been voted Players’ Player by her teammates for two consecutive years, a wonderful recognition of the positive impact she has on her team.
Mansfield Town Community Trust would like to thank Free Kicks Foundation for making this special experience possible and helping us create memorable opportunities for young people and their families. Free Kicks Foundation provides football-related experiences for children who are seriously ill or have a lifelong disability. We are proud to support its work and help raise awareness of the opportunities it offers.
