Mansfield Town Community Trust joined Mansfield Town players Deji Oshilaja and Ryan Sweeney to celebrate the reopening of Nottinghamshire Hospice’s community shop in Blidworth.

The players attended alongside their children to show their support for the local charity, with Deji officially cutting the ribbon to mark the occasion.

Nottinghamshire Hospice provides vital care and support for adults living with terminal and life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and carers. The charity helps people live as well as possible, providing compassionate care that allows individuals to remain in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by the people and things that matter most to them.

The Blidworth shop offers more than just a place to shop, featuring a café that provides a welcoming space for local people to come together, connect and help reduce social isolation.

Community shops play an important role in supporting the charity’s work, helping to raise funds for the care and support it delivers across Nottinghamshire.

It was fantastic for Mansfield Town Community Trust and the players to be involved in this special occasion and show their support for an organisation making a meaningful difference to individuals and families across our local community.
