Holiday Club Participants Help Prepare for Remembrance Day
As part of the build-up to Remembrance Day, participants at Mansfield Town Community Trust’s holiday club have been getting creative by painting poppies to mark the occasion.
The artwork will be displayed at Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse train stations in the lead-up to Remembrance Day, helping to bring a touch of colour to the local community while recognising the importance of remembering those who have served.
The participants also received a helping hand from Mansfield Town players Ryan Sweeney, Louis Reed and Frazer Blake-Tracy, who joined in with the poppy painting.
The project is a chance for our holiday club participants to get involved in a meaningful community activity ahead of Remembrance Day.
Keep an eye out for the finished artwork at your local train station in the coming days.
