The Beautiful Game Tour Visits Mansfield Town Community Trust

Mansfield Town Community Trust was delighted to welcome John Shiels MBE and the team behind The Beautiful Game Tour to the One Call Stadium this week as part of their incredible journey across England and Wales, raising funds and awareness for the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation.

John, a trustee of the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation and former CEO of the Manchester United Foundation, is cycling 1,500 miles to visit all 92 professional football clubs across England and Wales.

During their visit, John met with our CEO, Ricky Stevenson, to discuss the Trust's work within the local community and learn more about the programmes and opportunities we provide for people of all ages across Mansfield and the surrounding area.

The Beautiful Game Tour aims to showcase incredible work football clubs and their community organisations deliver every day, while raising funds for the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation. Along with their fundraising effort, the tour is also helping to raise awareness of the importance of providing children with safe places to play, positive role models, and opportunities to thrive through football.
