At Mansfield Town Community Trust, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for young people through sport and community engagement. One of our most exciting collaborations continues to be with WPA Padel, a relationship that has gone from strength to strength in recent months.

This growing partnership has already seen children from our Holiday Camps and collapsed curriculum days take part in padel sessions, giving them the chance to try a dynamic and fast-growing sport in a fun, inclusive environment. The response from both schools and families has been fantastic, and the benefits for the young people involved are clear to see.

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Mr Ali Alarif, CEO & Founder of World Padel Academy, to Mansfield for a visit and a game at the facilities. His visit marks a significant moment in this partnership, underscoring the shared vision between WPA and the Community Trust to promote sport and wellbeing at all levels.

Prior to Mr. Alarif’s game, a photo was taken to mark the occasion. Present was Alex Cartwright, Mansfield Town Community Trust Business Development Manager, James Bowring, WPA Chief Operating Officer, Hugo Da Silva, Head Coach at WPA Mansfield, and Kris Commons, Ex-Professional Footballer.

This moment was a celebration of everything achieved so far – and a hint of what’s to come.

We’re excited about the future of this partnership and the positive impact it will continue to have on our community. Stay tuned, we’ve got some exciting announcements coming very soon!
