It was a fantastic week of community activity, school engagement, and fundraising as Mansfield Town Community Trust delivered a packed schedule of events leading into and including the club’s designated Community Day fixture at the One Call Stadium.
Across schools, the stadium, and the local community, the Trust brought people together to celebrate football’s positive impact and raise vital funds for ongoing projects across the area.
Mapplewells Primary School – Yellow & Blue Day Visit
In the build-up to Community Day, schools across the Mansfield area were encouraged to take part in a Yellow & Blue Day, showing their support for Mansfield Town.
Mapplewells Primary School embraced the occasion, welcoming a special visit from the Trust alongside mascots Sammy and Sally, and first-team players Deji Oshilaja and Frazer Blake-Tracy.
The visit included a Q&A session with pupils, giving them the chance to hear from the players directly, as well as autograph signing and plenty of interaction throughout the school. The day also included a fun game of Red Light, Green Light, with Sammy and Sally joining in to the delight of the children.
This visit formed part of the wider community engagement activity ahead of the weekend fixture, helping inspire young supporters and strengthen the Trust’s ongoing relationships with local schools.
Community Day Fixture & Stadium Activity
Saturday’s Community Day at One Call Stadium brought supporters together for a full day of activity, entertainment, and fundraising.
Fans were encouraged to support the “Bring a Pound to the Ground” campaign, with donations accepted via cash, card, stadium buckets, and online links. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, over £700 was raised for Mansfield Town Community Trust, helping to fund projects that make a real difference across the local community.
Across the stadium, supporters enjoyed inflatables and games on the Astro pitch, along with a range of community-focused activities designed for all ages. The day highlighted the strong connection between the club, its supporters, and the wider Mansfield community.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, donated, and supported the event, as well as to all of our winners across the various activities.
Joe’s 110-Mile Spin Bike Challenge
Alongside the matchday celebrations, staff member Joe completed an incredible fundraising challenge in the Radford Foundation Marquee.
Joe took on a 110-mile static bike ride, representing the distance from Mansfield Town to Luton Town, and successfully completed the challenge on Saturday with support from colleagues and volunteers throughout the day.
Special thanks go to Anthony Nunez, who visited to show his support and check in during the challenge, along with everyone else who helped and encouraged Joe along the way.
His effort added to a brilliant weekend of fundraising and community spirit, helping raise additional awareness and support for the Trust.
Continued Support
Although the events have now concluded, donations are still open for anyone wishing to support the Trust’s work within the community.
