“Bring a pound to the ground!”Mansfield Town Community Trust - Community Day

Updated: Mar 22

The Trust are encouraging fans on the day of the game to “bring a pound to the ground” with all funds being reinvested back into programmes ran by MTCT. Fans can donate using cash via bucket collections on the day or can scan QR Codes located around the ground to donate online. MTCT will also be running inflatable activities on the 3G for fans of all ages to win MTFC prizes and will also be running a raffle. All fans are encouraged to get involved.

With plenty to look forward to on the day, Mansfield Town Community Trust’s Business Development Manager Alex Cartwright said: “Anyone living in and around Mansfield would have had some involvement with the trust over the last 34 years in some way shape or form. Whether that’s through our work in local primary or secondary schools, our health & wellbeing sessions, education courses, football coaching sessions or match day activities; people would have engaged with MTCT at some level.”

“We’re encouraging fans to donate at least a pound on the day, with the money being reinvested back into the community. The team will also be running two inflatable activities on the 3G with adults and children having the opportunity to win Mansfield Town related gifts.

Formerly known as Mansfield Town Football in the Community, Mansfield Town Community Trust deliver a range of projects and programmes across Mansfield, north & mid-Nottinghamshire. The day will be used by the Trust to spread awareness about MTCT’s work, engage with fans and raise funds for the Trust. MTCT work across a range of projects which fall into their school sport, education, health & wellbeing and community engagement & inclusion departments.

Mansfield Town Director and Community Trust Trustee Paul Brown says: “The relationship between the football club and Community Trust is one to be proud of as we work very closely together towards ensuring that our supporters and community enjoy all experiences from our town’s football club.”
