Supporting Local Young People: Funding Boost for Stags Community Trust Saturday Football Sessions

At the recent Mansfield Town fixture against Lincoln City, Mansfield Town Community Trust were joined pitchside by Councillor Faz Choudhury and Councillor Kevin Brown for a special cheque presentation in front of supporters.

A donation of £600 was presented to the Trust to help support the running costs of their popular Saturday football activities. These sessions provide an important opportunity for children and young people from across the local community to take part in structured, positive, and inclusive football.

The presentation took place on the pitch ahead of kick-off, highlighting the strong partnership between local representatives and the Community Trust, and their shared commitment to supporting young people.

Cllr Faz Choudhury said: “The Mansfield Town Community Trust does a fantastic job supporting people in the area, not only in providing football coaching sessions but delivering courses to benefit communities across the area.

“Cllr Kev Brown and I were delighted and honoured to be invited to present the cheque, and we look forward to continuing to support the trust in its efforts to improve the lives of so many young people across Mansfield and the wider area.

“We have seen for ourselves the outstanding work carried out by Ricky Stevenson, Alex Cartwright and their fantastic team in serving the community. They are a worthy cause, and we look forward to working with them moving forward.”
