Stags Business Charity Cup: A Fantastic Evening of Football, Community & Business at One Call Stadium



To raise funds for the Mansfield Town Community Trust and bring local businesses together, ten teams took to the hallowed turf of the One Call Stadium to battle it out in the inaugural Stags Business Charity Cup.


The event offered a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their footballing skills while supporting an important cause — all with the added bonus of playing on the Mansfield Town pitch.


The Format

The competition was split into two groups of five teams. After the group stages, the top two from each group progressed into the Cup Finals, while the 3rd and 4th placed teams entered the Trophy Finals. Both competitions followed a knockout format with semi-finals and finals.


Group Stage Highlights

  • Group A🏆 Winners: Edwalton Charity FC — a perfect campaign with 12 points.🥈 Runners-up: Mansfield Town — securing 7 points.

  • Group B🏆 Winners: Derby County Community Trust 'B' — unbeaten with 10 points.🥈 Runners-up: John Sankey Estate Agents — close behind with 9 points.


Cup Finals Drama

In a tense semi-final, Mansfield Town suffered heartbreak, losing on penalties to Derby County Community Trust 'B'. Meanwhile, Edwalton Charity FC powered through with a 2-0 win over John Sankey Estate Agents.


The final saw Edwalton Charity FC at their brilliant best, sealing a dominant 5-0 victory over Derby County Community Trust 'B' to lift the inaugural Stags Business Charity Cup.

Trophy Finals Battle

In the Trophy semi-finals, Derby County Community Trust 'A' edged past Julian Bowen (JB Eagles) with a 2-1 win, while Sands United triumphed in a penalty shootout against True Plant Hire.


The Trophy Final was a close-fought affair, but Derby County Community Trust 'A' emerged victorious, defeating Sands United 1-0.
