Monica Bowley and Frazer Blake-Tracy named PFA Community Champions

Mansfield Town Community Trust are extremely proud to announce that Monica Bowley and Frazer Blake-Tracy are this season's PFA Community Champions, recognising their outstanding commitment to supporting Mansfield Town Community Trust and the wider community throughout the 2025/26 campaign.

Monica Bowley was officially presented with her PFA Community Champion trophy ahead of the Nottinghamshire County Cup Final at the One Call Stadium, in what proved to be a fitting celebration of both her community contributions and footballing achievements. Monica has been an ever-present figure across the Trust’s programmes for another season, supporting school events, grassroots tournaments, Her Game Too fixtures, and helping to promote opportunities within the female game. As ladies club captain, she has become a true role model for young players across the area, consistently giving her time with passion and professionalism.

The presentation also carried extra significance following Monica’s recent announcement that she will retire from football at the end of the season. Winning the award for the second consecutive year was a fitting tribute to everything she has contributed both on and off the pitch. The occasion was made even more memorable as Mansfield Town Ladies went on to lift the Nottinghamshire County Cup trophy later that evening, providing the perfect ending to a special day for Monica, her teammates, and everyone connected with the club and Community Trust.

Frazer Blake-Tracy received his award during the club’s Annual Awards Dinner, where his genuine passion for community engagement and willingness to learn more about the Trust’s work were highlighted. Throughout the season, Frazer has consistently shown a real interest in the impact football can have away from the pitch, always taking the time to ask questions, engage with projects, and support community initiatives whenever possible. His approachable nature and enthusiasm to get involved made him a worthy recipient of this year’s award.

Marketing and Communications Lead Stephen Clayton said:

“Frazer and Monica are both incredibly deserving recipients of this season’s PFA Community Champion awards. Throughout the year, they have consistently shown a genuine passion for supporting the work of Mansfield Town Community Trust and engaging with the local community. Both players have been fantastic ambassadors for the club away from the pitch, always giving their time to support events, school visits, community projects, and initiatives designed to inspire the next generation."
“On behalf of Mansfield Town Community Trust, I would also like to thank all players who have been involved with our work this season, taking time out of their schedules to support our projects and campaigns across the local community. Their contributions play a vital role in helping us engage with and inspire people across the area.”
“On a personal note, I would like to extend my thanks to Monica for all her hard work and commitment over the past three years with the Trust. Congratulations on an excellent playing career, and while she may be stepping away from the pitch, we’re confident this will not be the end of her involvement, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in the near future.”
