Mansfield Town represented at Premier League Kicks Regionals

Young participants from our Premier League Kicks programme had an unforgettable experience as they proudly represented the club at the regional PL Kicks event held at The Racecourse in Derby.

The team faced strong opposition throughout the day, taking on local sides including Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Lincoln City, Northampton Town, Leicester City and Notts County. Despite the competitive environment, our players showed real determination, teamwork and respect in every match.

Alongside the football, the boys also took part in two powerful educational workshops focused on misogyny and discrimination. These sessions encouraged honest discussion, challenged harmful behaviours and helped reinforce the values that sit at the heart of the PL Kicks programme.

The highlight of the day came when our MTFC group were awarded the Fair Play Award, a fantastic recognition of their attitude, behaviour and conduct both on and off the pitch. Their sportsmanship, respect for others and willingness to learn made them stand out among all participating teams.

We’re incredibly proud of how they represented Mansfield Town and the wider community. Days like this show exactly what Premier League Kicks is all about: opportunity, growth and positive change through football.
