CEFA Awards Evening Celebrates a Remarkable Year

Our CEFA Awards Evening provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the achievements, dedication and progress of our Post-16 students over the past academic year.

The evening recognised both academic and sporting success, highlighting the commitment shown by students throughout their time on the programme. Awards were presented to celebrate performances on and off the pitch, as well as the teamwork, resilience and personal growth demonstrated throughout the season.

We were also delighted to be joined by the families of our students, whose support has played an important role throughout their journey. It was great to see parents and family members in attendance to celebrate the achievements of our students.

This year has been particularly successful, with every student exceeding their target grades and many preparing for the next stage of their journey. We are proud to see eight students progressing to university within the sports sector, including several continuing their studies through our partnership with the University of South Wales.

Alongside their academic achievements, students have completed more than 60 hours of work experience over the past two years, helping them develop valuable skills and gain practical insight into the industry. Opportunities such as educational visits and the recent football tour to Spain have further enhanced their experience and created lasting memories.

Speaking about the evening, Head of Education, Melissa Styles, said:

"As Head of Education, the football and 2nd-year awards nights were highlights, showcasing our students' dedication and growth. The football awards celebrated athletic achievements and teamwork, fostering a sense of community. The 2nd-year awards were especially moving, recognizing students ready for their next steps.

Witnessing their resilience and the bonds they've formed over the past two years filled me with pride. These events underscored our values of dedication and excellence, which I'm confident they'll carry forward.

It's a privilege to be part of their journey, and I eagerly anticipate their future successes.”

Everyone at Mansfield Town Community Trust would like to congratulate our award winners and wish all of our second-year students the very best for the future.
